What cookies are

Cookies are small values stored by your browser and sent back to the website. Giliw also uses browser local storage for certain customer-side features. These technologies do not contain your Gemini API key or payment credentials.

Cookies and storage Giliw uses

• PHP session cookie: keeps your visit associated with server-side session data used for sign-in, Wilig's current conversation, and other website functions. Staff sign-in can remain in your browser for up to 30 days but expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. Customer sign-in is a browser session unless “Remember me” is selected.
• Wilig device cookie: a random, HttpOnly cookie helps Giliw recognize this browser for the assistant's daily question limit. The server stores only a hash of its value. When you are signed in, the limit is also linked to your account, so it follows you across devices. Up to 10 successfully answered questions are allowed per Philippine calendar day; refreshing the page does not reset the limit, and unanswered requests do not use a question.
• Cookie consent: remembers that you accepted this notice for up to one year, so the banner does not reappear on every customer page.
• Cart and favorites: browser local storage remembers your cart and saved favorites on this device.

Wilig, Gemini, and Groq

When you send Wilig a question, the message, relevant recent conversation, and current public menu information are sent to Google Gemini first. If Gemini fails or is temporarily unavailable, the same request may be sent to Groq as a backup. The conversation is kept in your website session. Daily usage is stored on Giliw's server and associated with your browser's Wilig device cookie and, when you are signed in, your customer account. Only successful AI replies count toward the daily limit. Do not include passwords, payment details, or other sensitive personal information in a chat.

Your choices

Giliw currently uses essential cookies and browser storage only, so there are no optional advertising or analytics cookies to turn on or off. Select “Accept and close” to acknowledge this notice. You can also clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings; doing so may sign you out, empty your saved cart or favorites, show the notice again, or start a new Wilig session. Clearing the Wilig device cookie can make the browser's device-based limit unrecognizable, but an account-based limit remains associated with your account. Blocking cookies may prevent sign-in and other session-dependent features from working.

Third-party resources

Some pages load fonts, icons, or scripts from providers such as Google Fonts, jsDelivr, and unpkg. Those providers may receive standard connection information when your browser requests their resources. Giliw does not use the cookie banner to enable advertising or analytics cookies.
